WOYWW - the maiden voyage!

I love snooping on people's workspaces - when someone shows their space in mid-creation it makes me all super giddy.  How is it that I have never heard of WOYWW (what's on your workdesk Wednesday) until today?  They are already 243 weeks in!  Thank goodness for Carmen or I'd still be living in the dark like a mushroom.

I am still working on trying to catch up on the 30 in 30, but today I have to do a video, so I am going to get even more behind.  Maybe I can cut myself some slack and give myself until the February 10th since I didn't start until January 10th?  Maybe not.  I'm still stuck on this drippy watercolor technique and painting as fast as I can - I only have three watercolor blocks at the moment (wait.. do I have more?  I might have some huge ones.. I could do multiples on one sheet!  OMG!).

I think maybe being happy and not bored with what I'm doing counts.  Quality over Quantity.  Anyway - enough of my blathering - here is my workdesk, amazingly clean today!

Now I am going to force myself to do yoga even though my triceps feel like they've been blasted with acid.  I guess technically they have!

  1. Hi Sarah - welcome to WOYWW. I have just been to visit Carmen! I have not heard of the drippy watercolour technique but it looks fab! It works perfectly with your fantasy vampire images. I think you have mastered that class! Hope you are having fun hopping. WOYWW Hugs from Helen 74 x

    1. Hi Helen! Thanks for the welcome!! :D It was less of a class, more of a "watch a bunch of youtube videos and try to make it mine" but thank you! <3

  2. Welcome to WOYWW! 30 in 30 is a huge challenge isn't it? I think multiples are a grand idea. Your desk looks marvellous, all those paint scars, they sure tell a story about an artist!

    1. Thank you!! It really is huge. Way huger than I imagined, that's for sure.

My husband built these tables for me one year around Christmas, and I FREAKED OUT the first time I got paint all over the top. His response was, "awesome, that's what I hoped you'd do." So now I don't worry about it, slop everything everywhere, and even sometimes use my tabletop as a palette. :D

  3. Yay, I'm so glad you joined in! Looks like you are in a shedio too!

Aw I cannot tell you how much I love your zombie! I love your vamp too but your zombie would beat her in a fight hands down! You really have made that technique your own!

I'm in half of the living room, so in a .. housio? My tables are raw and manly, though. ;)

  6. This is my first WOYWW too. I figured I'd give it a go, see how I liked it, and already there are new friends in the making!

    Merry creating!

    1. I do too :D It is sort of funny to look at it - there is a lot of turquoise, a lot of hot pink, a lot of black, and a lot of white splatters. That says something about me, I think.. hahaha
